I saw a post from Anne from Powder and Puff about 10 drugstore products she used to achieve a full makeup look in less than 10 minutes, so I thought I would do the same! As I was working on this post, I realized it’s basically just how I do my morning routine most days, so it was pretty easy to put together!
NYX Matte Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray
Before applying any makeup, grab this and spray it across your face a few times. Once all of your makeup is done, including your eyes, spritz it across your face again to seal everything in place.
Covergirl Tru Blend Liquid Foundation in the shade L3 Natural Ivory
This is a pretty good drugstore foundation with fairly good coverage that blends really nicely into your skin. I like to dot this all over my face before blending it in, but you could apply this anyway you like and I’m sure the results would still be great.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Corrector Concealer
Twist the cap a few times to get product coming out the sponge top, then run that under each eye a few times before blending it in with your fingers. I’ve found that if you blend it with the sponge tip, you just get more product everywhere and it’s a mess, so I just blend it with my fingers or a brush.
Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in the shade Translucent
Grab a powder brush, get some product on it and pat it across your face. This gives nice coverage in addition to your foundation, and it has a nice mattifying effect that lasts for at least a few hours.
Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzer for Blondes
A little bit goes a long way with this bronzer! Grab a brush of your choice and run this just below your cheekbones lightly and along your forehead if you want a bit more color.
NYX Powder Blush in the shade Summer Peach
Put this blush just above the bronzer. I find it can be a bit much if you put too much product near the apples of your cheeks, but maybe that’s just personal preference.
NYX High Definition Eye Shadow Base
Run the wand with product on it over each eye a few times, then blend in with your fingertips. This gives amazing lasting power to your eye look, and it doesn’t make any of your shadows crease.
L’Oreal 24-hour Infallible Eye Shadow in the shade Burst into Bloom
This color is perfect for Pantone’s Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid! I find this works best when used wet, so get an eyeshadow brush wet, dip it into the product and press onto your lids. Build up to the intensity you desire.
Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express Mascara
This is a perfect mascara because it’s super black and you only need one coat per eye to get maximum volume and length. The brush is a little bit stiff, but the formula is amazing.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in the shade Pink & Proper
Since the eye has a more intense look, it’s best to tone down your lips. This shade is a great light pink that’s perfect for spring and summer that adds some color without being too frosty or shiny.
Now you’re good to go for the day! What products would you recommend for this challenge?
