Hello everyone, and welcome to a whole new world! …Er, I mean, a whole new blog! I mentioned in my 2014 recap that I worked with an amazing designer named Nina who made this beautiful (see what I did there?) theme for me in just a few days, and I wanted to share with you guys what all changed around here. Seriously, I am so, SO happy with how everything looks now!
Since I’ve gotten my new theme, blog post ideas keep flowing and I can’t wait to write and share them! With my last theme, over the past few months, I felt less and less inspired because I just didn’t like my theme anymore. Now that I have a new one that I love and am proud to show off, I’m excited to take advantage of new opportunities! Here are some things that are different or will be different as I move forward with my blog:
— A partial rebrand/refocus. I wasn’t planning on doing a rebrand of my blog with the new theme, but when Nina asked if I wanted to include a slogan or tagline, I came up with “Lessons on being happy, healthy and beautiful,” and I realized that I wanted to expand my blog reach a bit. I don’t want to focus so heavily on makeup and skincare reviews, although I will still publish those from time to time. I want to start writing more reflection and personal posts so I can relate to you guys more and the beauty within each of us, whether we wear makeup or not. I have some really cool posts planned to fit this new focus, and I can’t wait to start sharing them with all of you!
— Ad swaps. I’m still trying to figure out how it all works, but I will be doing (for now, only free) ad swaps now that I have a button to share! This is something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time, and I’m anxious to get started. Stay tuned!
— More personality. I think I’ve been a little personal with you guys over the last year, but I want to take everything one step further and really start opening up and sharing more. So get ready to see more of my craziness as my personality comes out 😉 I’ll go more in depth on various issues, share more photos from my life and more. I may even start doing videos in the future, but I think that’d be too much for me right now.
