Since I got my Ipsy bag for May, I figured it was time to do a review of the bag from April. The theme for April’s Ipsy bag was Beauty Rocks, and overall I really liked everything!
Elizabeth Mott pop! goes the shadow in the shade Champagne
This shadow is amazing! It really doesn’t crease or fade all day on the eyelids, and it’s a great color for the inner corner of the eye. It also works great as a highlighter on your face as well!
Starlooks Luscious Longwear Lip Pencil in the shade Naked
I have to admit that I wasn’t a big fan of this lip pencil. It’s just too orangey toned for me, but it’s great that it’s a full-size product.
dr. brandt microdermabrasion skin exfoliant
I admit that I only used this once this month, but it worked really well and I noticed smoother skin right away. The beads in this exfoliant were very small and not too abrasive, but you could tell they were definitely still working. My face felt super smooth after I used this once, so I definitely look forward to using this about once a week in the future.
Medium Shadow Brush from Coastal Scents
This brush was okay. It’s a great size with a nice, sturdy handle, but the bristles started to fall off a bit. It works nicely for putting shadow in the crease and just overall blending, but at least for me this is a brush I’d reach for when my other blending brushes are dirty.
Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil Travel Size in the shade Black Velvet
I love Urban Decay, and this is no exception. It’s a mini size, but you can barely tell that I’ve used any product even after a few weeks of constant use. This is a very dark black liner that is comparable to the other Urban Decay 24/7 liners, but this one has more smudgeability to it (I’m sure that’s not a word. Oops.). This works great for tightlining my eyes, both the upper and lower lashlines, and it has great staying power.
