I love sharing my favorite products on here, and it’s been a while so let’s just dive right into it!
Morphe Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette
This is now being sold at Ulta, so I kind of wish I’d waited to buy it, but I’m still glad I have it. There’s a beautiful variety of matte and shimmer shades so you can achieve just about any look you’d like. I know this palette was super hyped when it first came out, but I do really like it so I think it’s worth it. I think it has a great mix of neutral colors, pops of color, mattes and shimmers so you can really do a lot with it.
Maybelline Face Studio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder
This is all I’ve been using to set my foundation basically every single day since I bought it. It’s a very finely milled loose translucent powder that blends into my skin beautifully. It also sets concealer and eye primer really nicely. It’s nothing fancy, but it works great and it’s inexpensive. Win-win!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup: 1C1 Cool Bone
I bought this at Ulta the last time I redeemed my points, and I absolutely love it. It has great coverage, it lasts for hours and hours, and it doesn’t make my face feel or look cakey at all. This bottle is going to last me forever, so I love that. If you have oily skin, this really is as good as other people have hyped it up to be.
Morphe M441 Pro Firm Blending Crease Brush
I feel like you can never have enough eyeshadow blending brushes, right? Right. This blends shadow in the crease so beautifully and effortlessly. It can apply shadow in a sheer or more intense way, so I like how versatile it is.
Pacifica Banana Love Deep Intensive Moisture Mask
If you like the scent of bananas, you need this hair mask. You can leave it on for as little as three minutes or really as long as you want. It makes my hair feel silky smooth, and I just love it. I use it about once a week, and when it was clearanced out at my local Ulta, I bought two backups. It looks like it’s still available online, so get this now if you’re interested!
Bumble and bumble Don’t Blow It Thick (H)air Styler
I’ve heard good things about Bumble and bumble and I’ve been wanting to try products from them for years, so I was psyched when Ulta started carrying them. I prefer to let my hair air dry as opposed to blow drying it because I have such thick hair and it takes forever to dry. This cream is so good! I’ve only used it a few times, but I really like it so far. It helps add nice waves to my hair without being crunchy or sticky, and it really helps to minimize frizz.
Memebox I Dew Care Disco Kitten Illuminating Peel-Off Mask
You guys. This mask is the bomb. I usually have a hard time getting peel-off masks to work right for me without hurting my face or making a mess, but this one is amazing. As someone with oily skin, I usually don’t go for products that are dewy or illuminating, but this is definitely an exception for me. It makes your face look so hydrated, fresh and clean. You look like a disco ball when the mask is on your face, but it’s so easy to peel off and it makes your face feel so soft. I see this gets sold out at my local Ulta a lot, so you should definitely grab it whenever you see it if you’re looking for a new awesome face mask.
Book: Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
Oh my gosh, I positively devoured this book. It’s a mystery book with a sci fi element to it that really reminded me of Michael Crichton’s books. I just could not put this book down, and I thought it had a great blend of plot points you could see coming and others that you couldn’t. As much as I hated that the book was ending, I liked how the author tied up most of the plotlines. If you’re looking for a new sci fi thriller and one heck of a page turner, give this one a go!
TV show: Stranger Things
If you haven’t seen Stranger Things yet, get on it! Omg it’s so good. Season two came out two weeks ago and I definitely powered through it ASAP. I have some friends who thought season one was better and some thought season two was better, but either way, it’s an amazing show. If you’ve seen it, you know what I mean. If you haven’t, go watch it ASAP. I thought there was so much great character development, and omg Chief Jim Hopper is just everything this season (see above).
Playlist: feminine energy
I recently discovered this playlist, and I immediately fell in love with it. The music is a little bit different than what I usually listen to on a daily basis, but I’ve really been enjoying it lately. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve really gotten into mindfulness and manifestation, and I think this playlist goes hand-in-hand with those somehow. It’s just a really nice, soft yet empowering playlist, so check it out if you’re looking for something new!
