Despite the below-freezing temperatures we had in North Dakota a few days ago, it’s fall! And that means it’s time for the fall favorites tag. I first saw Jaclyn Hill do this, and then ThatGirlShaeXO also did it, and I was so inspired that I thought it was time for me to do it as well. So here we go!
Fall Favorites Tag
Favorite Candle
This is a no brainer for me: Bath & Body Works Radiant Red Maple. It smells like marshmallows and apples and wonderful fresh fall weather. If you haven’t smelled this yet, go to B&BW right now! I love a lot of candles from there, but this one is by far my favorite. Yes, I love this one even more than my pumpkin candles, and that’s really saying something.
Favorite Lip Color
This is basically an impossible question because lip products are my absolute favorite, so I’m going to list two: Fresh Sugar Berry Tinted Lip Treatment and Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lip in the shade Bumble. I love the Fresh lip balm because it’s very moisturizing and adds just a tint of color to your lips. My lips get super dry this time of year, and some lip balms or chapsticks leave my lips looking dead. But this one gives a really beautiful sheer color that you can build up to be bolder if you’d like. As for the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip, Bumble has become a very fast favorite of mine. It’s such a unique, beautiful reddish brown shade that’s supposed to be a dupe for Riot by Limecrime. This color would be great all year round, but it really stands out to me as a perfect fall shade.
Favorite Drink
Well, of course I have to mention Pumpkin Spice Lattes. As cliche as those are for fall, I really do love them. I’ve also really been loving the Toasted Graham Latte from Starbucks. I’m also a fan of apple cider, especially if it has alcohol in it 😉 Angry Orchard for the win!
Favorite Blush
My favorite blush for fall is Cabana Boy from The Balm. It’s a darker mauve with some shimmer, but not chunky glitter or anything. It goes well with any eye look, and it’s very pigmented so a little bit goes a long way. You can put just a little bit on for light wash of color, or you can really build it up for a dramatic look. This is the darkest blush I own, but it applies and blends beautifully. Plus, The Balm always has super cute packaging. #winning
Favorite Clothing Item
I’m not that big into scarves or boots or any of the other cliche fall clothing items, but I am a fan of sweaters. They’re warm and cozy but also fun and trendy!
Favorite Fall Movie
HOCUS POCUS. Or Casper. But mainly, Hocus Pocus. Also, Halloweentown. But mainly, Hocus Pocus.
Favorite Fall TV Show
Right now I’ve been super into Scream Queens and American Horror Story: Hotel, and AHS has really been slaying it so far. It has been quite disturbing, but it’s meant to be a horror TV show, so what else do you expect? If you’ve never seen AHS before, the first four seasons are on Netflix. Go watch it for the amazing acting if nothing else.
Favorite Thanksgiving Food
Once again, no brainer: green bean casserole. Nothing else needs to be said. Seriously, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Favorite Halloween Costume
I’ve mentioned this before, but one of my favorite Halloween costumes was when I dressed as Hermoine and my coworkers dressed up as other characters from Harry Potter. It was just a blast, and anytime I can incorporate Harry Potter into my life, Imma do it. #adulthood.
