So…it’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here. I’ve never really understood that expression, as people usually mean the exact opposite, but yet I still used it. Anyway, I’m back!
I know, I know. Excuse the theatrics. But really, I’m back! I needed to take a little hiatus from the blog, and I’m feeling much better about this space and my future posts. I just started a new job about two months ago, life has been a bit crazier than usual lately and blogging just wasn’t a passion of mine anymore. I knew it was better to just take a blogging break than make half-hearted posts just to have a consistent schedule.
But now I’m back with a new theme designed by the amazing Dominika, and I couldn’t be happier! I’m sure I’ll be making some tweaks here and there, so please be patient with me as I get all settled in again. There will probably be a few broken links or photos or things like that, but I promise they won’t be here forever. Bear with me!
Before I was trying to follow things “all bloggers MUST do” to be successful, and it took me a while to realize that my aim on this blog is not to be successful. I want to help people, share my stories, connect with others, have some fun, promote self-love and talk about beauty.
I don’t care how many followers I have on Twitter or Facebook. I don’t care about having a consistent blogging schedule. I don’t care about having amazing pinnable images for every one of my posts. I don’t care about what other people think I should do with my space.
Does that make me a “bad blogger?” Maybe. I don’t care about that either.
I care about making connections. I care about being real. I care about talking about life’s ups and downs. I care about being unbiased, trustworthy and true to myself and my blog.
I don’t mean to be offensive to anyone who runs a blog about blogging and posts about blogging rules and such. There is definitely a very viable market for that, and I wish all of those bloggers the best success because they really know what they’re doing.
But that’s just not me, and it’s freeing to realize and admit that.
My aim is to be a beauty blogger who discusses self-love and how to rise above all the negative noise in the world. I want my blog to be a fun place where people are safe to be goofy, sarcastic and just themselves.
So let me present to you the new Beyoutiful Beauty!
Take a peek around, stay a while, read one post or just leave. The choice is yours.
I’ll be sitting here with some coffee and a smile if or when you need me next 🙂
Stay beautiful!
