Hello everyone! Today I’m excited to talk to you all about guilty pleasures. We all have them, whether they involve food, makeup, cheesy TV shows, whatever. Obviously makeup is a guilty pleasure for me, or I wouldn’t have this blog, but I wanted to share my other guilty pleasures with you guys and hope I’m not alone 😉 I thought I’d just do something short and sweet today since it’s Monday, so let’s get started!
— Having a dance party at least once a week: There’s just something about dancing that makes you forget your problems for a few minutes and just focus on having fun and busting a move. I love putting my phone on shuffle because then I never know what will play next, and I just kind of go crazy. #noshame. It ranges from showtunes to Josh Groban to Iggy Azalea to Britney Spears to Jason Mraz and more, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
— Singing along to One Direction: I also can’t help this, obviously, or I wouldn’t be admitting to it. I’m not a big fan of the “boy bands” that are currently popular on the radio (I’m a 90s purist, duh), but there’s just something about songs from One Direction that make me want to sing and dance along. Not exactly proud of this, but it is what it is.
— Cheesy TV shows: I’ve talked about these before, and once again, I just can’t help my love for them. Does anybody else remember the show Conveyor Belt of Love? With a name like that, you know it’s pretty high quality stuff. I think it only had one episode, but that’s all it needed to cement its awesomeness into my mind. I love watching reality shows that my boyfriend swears are scripted (but I of course don’t listen) like the Bachelor/ette and I Wanna Marry Harry (Confession: I only watched one episode and then I heard it got cancelled, but I still thought it was entertaining), as well as Pretty Little Liars, One Tree Hill, etc. Give me cheesy teen soap operas or give me death.
— Dirty Dancing: Do you sense a bit of a musical theme here? I love watching it, listening to the soundtrack, memorizing the dances, pretending I’m Baby at the dance in the end. You know, the usual.
So what are your guilty pleasures?
