That’s right! I finally took the leap and decided to open my own business. I’m an official small business owner over at Beyoutiful Intuition!

Even though I haven’t written a blog post in nearly a month, I promise this blog isn’t going anywhere. I just had to take a little break to do some soul searching and discovery, as well as launch a new business (still in disbelief about all of this, tbh).
Last week in particular was a banner week for me, as the kids say:
Monday: I had a meeting with the North Dakota Women’s Business Center on Monday, where I learned about some great local and national resources available to help people start and grow their businesses. That meeting helped me reframe my idea for what I wanted to do with my potential new business, and it really fired me up! My husband and I went out to dinner, and he helped me brainstorm what my new business could be called. After much debate, he uttered the perfect words: Beyoutiful Intuition.
Tuesday: I filed my new business online with the North Dakota Secretary of State.
Wednesday: My business was officially approved by the Secretary of State in less than 24 hours. The website said new requests for businesses could take up to four weeks, but I heard back in less than a day. I was shocked! I guess this was a thing that really needed to happen and was going to happen right now.
Thursday: I feel like Thursday was a normal day. Honestly, with this whirlwind of a week, I don’t remember much of anything this day.
Friday: I met up with a photographer friend of mine for a photo shoot. We’d had this planned for a few weeks but it kept getting pushed back due to busy schedules and bad weather. I initially was going to get some new headshots taken for this blog, but now that I am an official business owner, I asked if we could also take photos of some of my tarot and oracle decks. My friend said yes, of course, and we had a really fun shoot at a local coffee shop. Later that afternoon, I opened my first business checking account so I could start being able to accept payments and be all official about everything.
Saturday: I worked my last shift at Ulta, where I’d worked part time for the last five years and three months-ish. I decided a few weeks ago that it was time for some new challenges and opportunities because I’d gotten too comfortable and there wasn’t a lot of room for growth for me there. Anyway, I worked my last shift, which ended on a high, positive note, and then I dove headfirst into making my website as done as possible so other people would know it existed. And then, boom! I pushed my website live and shared it with the world (a.k.a., my friends, fam and followers on social media)!
And now here I am, an official small business owner for nearly a week now. Whaaaaat?! It honestly still doesn’t even feel real.
If you’d like to book a tarot and oracle card reading with me, check out my site! I have a few different options available, and I’m so damn excited to get all of this out into the world.
