I know it’s kind of super late to be doing March favorites, but…here we are! I’ve generally been sticking to the same products, so I can’t wait to share everything that I’ve been loving lately. Let’s just dive right in!
Acure Dark Chocolate + Mint Argan Oil Balm
I picked this up on a whim when I was at Swanson a few weeks ago, and now I just can’t get enough of it. First of all, it smells like dark chocolate and mint. YUM. This is one of the best lip balms I’ve ever used! The minty flavor feels really nice and soothing on my lips, and that moisture really lasts. I feel like my lips are super dry constantly, and this has just become my savior.
First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay
I didn’t even know I had this sample until I started cleaning out and packing up my stuff in the past few weeks. I love this so much! I feel like it gets my face so clean even though it’s also pretty gentle. There isn’t much of a scent to it, and it lathers up nicely but not too much. Not sure what else to say besides this is great!
NYX Matte Lipstick: Aria
I forgot I had this lipstick for quite a while, and now I find myself reaching for it all the time. This is a beautiful fuchsia shade that really brightens up my complexion, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments when I wear this (even after a few hour shift at work, where I was talking constantly). It can be drying after wearing it for a few hours (since I get super dry lips), but it’s just such a beautiful color and I just love it. It’s not as creamy as the Maybelline matte lipsticks, but the color more than makes up for that. Love it! The first picture makes the lipstick look much darker than it is for some reason; the swatch is more accurate.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencil: Perversion
This is an oldie but a goody, as they say. I bought this mini liner probably in a set a few years ago at Sephora, and I’ve used it on and off since then. But lately I’ve been using this to tightline my eyes almost every day, and I think it works great! I prefer using a liquid liner near my top lashes for precision, but I think this is great for tightlining or putting in my waterline. It stays all day, it’s super black and it’s just a tried and true really good product. If you haven’t tried this liner yet, I’d highly recommend it.
Yes to Grapefruit Brightening Facial Wipes
Not gonna lie, I was really nervous to try these out because the Alba Botanica exfoliating wipes I recently used up were a little too harsh and rough for my face, but these were awesome! The wipes are smooth without any beads, and the packaging claims these will brighten and exfoliate your face. I have to say that I agree! These smell amazing, and my face feels so incredibly smooth after I use these. I feel like these get my face cleaner than if I use the Yes to Cucumbers wipes, but I don’t feel like I could safely use these to remove my eye makeup like I can for the cucumber ones. I’m fine with using a separate eye makeup remover though because these wipes are seriously awesome.
EVOLVh SmartStart Leave-In Conditioner + Uber Detangler
I got this in a Petit Vour box back in January, and I’ve become totally obsessed! After I shower, I spray a generous amount in my hair, let it sit for about a minute and then comb my fingers through my hair and scrunch a bit. It adds nice waves to my hair, as well as helps to detangle and conditioner my hair, as the product name would suggest. I also use it on dry hair just for a little pick-me-up, and I think it works just as well that way. This stuff is just amazing, I swear! I never used to really get the need for a leave-in conditioner, but I will definitely look into getting the full size once this is used up.
Colour Pop Lippie Stix: Lumiere
If you haven’t heard of Colour Pop before, you are seriously missing out. It’s an amazing company based in Los Angeles, and almost every single product is $5 each. The quality of their products is beyond amazing, especially because of the price, and they’re all super pigmented and beautiful. This has become my go-to lip color, and I swear it looks good with anything. This is a perfect “your lips but better” mid-toned matte pink, and it just looks so great. The formula is super creamy, and it lasts for quite a while. I didn’t buy the accompanying lip liner, but I think it works well on its own anyway. Love, love, love anything from Colour Pop!
The Body Shop Body Butter: Vineyard Peach
I bought this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend since he loves any and everything peach related, and now I end up using it more than he does! It smells EXACTLY like a fresh peach. Like, exactly. I’ve been really, really bad about moisturizing my skin for the longest time, and now I make sure to grab this after I shower and before I go to bed most nights. The packaging says it moisturizes for 24 hours, and I think that’s pretty true! My skin feels so soft, smooth and hydrated when I wake up in the mornings, and I’ve noticed a huge difference in how my skin looks and feels even hours later. And seriously, I can’t emphasize enough how amazing this smells. I know they have tons of other scents to choose from, and I can’t wait to try others in the future! The consistency is a bit harder than other body butters I’ve tried in the past, but once you rub your hands together or rub the product into your skin, it feels super smooth and creamy. This stuff is amazing!
