It’s time to talk about my monthly favorites! I meant to get this up a few weeks ago, but then I decided to just combine March and April in one post. Let’s dive right in:
Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask
This mask is just amazing. I just had to get that out of the way first. It smells like pumpkins, so I knew I’d love it. And it’s part of Andalou’s Brightening line, so that’s definitely another plus. I’ve been using it about once a week, and it doubles as an exfoliator and a mask since it has little beads in it. After I rinse it off, my face looks and feels amazing. My face is so smooth, and my makeup applies so smoothly. I’m so glad Ulta started carrying Andalou Naturals, and I’d definitely recommend checking out any products from them because I’ve loved everything I’ve tried so far.
Buxom Full-On Lip Polish: Jessica
Ulta recently started carrying the brand Buxom, and I was so excited to start trying out some of their products. They have more than 100 colors for their Full-On Lip Polish formula, including my name, so I had to buy it! Spoiler alert: I love it! It’s a beautiful neutral pink with great shine and no stickiness. I usually wear it over a lip liner to prolong the wear, but it wears just fine for a couple hours even without a liner. I want to try more colors since I love this one so much!
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
I got this on HauteLook {add link} earlier this year, and I’m obsessed with it. I can see why so many people constantly rave about this highlighter. It’s the perfect peach-beige highlighter that I think would work for a variety of skin tones. It’s very pigmented and glowy, not glittery. I use this basically every day for a more natural look, but it layers nicely for a more bold look as well.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
I used to love this mascara a few years ago, but then I just forgot about it since I tried so many others. Recently I got a free small sample size, and I fell in love with it again. It gives my lashes great length and separation, and it doesn’t get clumpy.
Maybelline Master Hi-Light Blush: Pink Rose
I got this blush in a box swap last year, and I’m so glad I did. I’ve seen this in the store so many times but had never bought it for myself. I’m really impressed with how pigmented this blush is and how nicely it blends on my skin. It gives my cheeks a nice, natural sheen and glow as well, so sometimes I don’t even add highlighter.
John Masters Organics Spearmint & Meadowsweet Scalp Stimulating Shampoo
This is one of the more natural haircare brands sold at Ulta, so I was excited to try this out. My scalp gets dry and itchy, especially in the winter, and this shampoo has really helped. My scalp feels cleaner and less itchy the more I use this, so I’ll definitely buy this again. I use it about once a week, and I just love it.
Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Eyeshadow Palette
My boyfriend bought this for me, and I’m just in love with it (and him, of course!). First of all, it smells amazing. I love peanut butter, so naturally I love the smell and the color names. Secondly, the colors are just beautiful. They blend nicely and they all work so well together. I feel like you can achieve a wide variety of looks with this, and I’m excited to play around with it some more.
Colourpop Lippie Stix: Poppin
I don’t think you can get this anymore, but I had to mention it because I really love it. This was a limited edition color for one of Colourpop’s new formulas that should be coming out soon. It’s super pigmented and smooth on the lips. It’s matte, but it feel more moisturizing than the other matte lippie stix. This formula is called Matte X, and I hope they come out with more colors soon.
Swanson 99% Natural Hyaluronic Acid
This has made a world of difference in the overall look and feel of my skin. I use this morning and night before using a moisturizer, and it really helps the moisturizer to really absorb deeply in my skin. I’ve used a few different moisturizers with this, and it works well with all of them.
Coast to Coast Pore Purifying Foaming Cleanser
This has also made a big difference in my skin, but moreso for my pore size. It really does help shrink my pores and make them less noticeable. And while it does foam a bit, it’s not too much. There’s no overpowering scent, and my skin feels really clean but not tight afterwards like other cleansers do sometimes.
Redken FPF 20 Frizz Dismiss Smooth Force
I got this as a free sample from work a few months ago and forgot about it until recently. I spray this around my head a few times after I towel-dry my hair, and I’ve noticed a big difference in my hair once it dries. This has really helped tame down frizz and flyaways, so I’ve incorporated this into my haircare routine. I know there are a few other frizz products from this same line, but I’ve been really happy with this one so far. I’m all for taming down frizz anyway I can, and this has made a big difference.
