Today I’m excited to chat about my favorite makeup and skincare products (with a few other bonuses) from the past few months. Let’s get into it!
Pacifica Vegan Collagen Complex Serum, Every Day Lotion and Recovery Eye Cream
Pacifica is simply the best and you need to try them if you haven’t already. This vegan collagen line is pretty new for them, and I’m obsessed with it already. Since I’m in my 30s now, I figure I should start using some anti-aging skincare (ugh, adulting, why), and I love how these make my skin look and feel. I especially love the eye cream because it’s so light and hydrating.
Tula So Poreless Deep Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub
I got this in my last Boxycharm, and omg I love it. It smells so amazing because it has raspberry and pomegranate in it, and the tiny beads feel nice and not harsh against your skin. I use this about two times a week, and I love having a good scrub in my skincare routine.
Raw Sugar Deodorant in Cucumber and Chamomile
I’ve been on the hunt for a really good natural deodorant for years, and this is by far my favorite one I’ve tried in a long time! It counts as skincare, right? Anyway, it smells so nice and fresh and it lasts much longer than other natural deodorants I’ve tried. Plus it has biodegradable packaging and no aluminum or baking soda. Winning!
elf Bite Size Eyeshadow in Hot Jalapeno
These shadow quads are $3/piece and they’re AMAZING. I bought a few different colors, and this one is so fun and definitely my favorite. The colors blend really beautifully, and they last really well during the day. I use a glitter glue with the shimmers but even without that, they’re still such pretty colors. Get some of these quads now!
L.A. Girl Pastel Dream Auto Eyeliner and Shockwave Neon Eyeliner
I own all of the colors both of these lines because they’re just that good and pretty and creamy. I always get compliments when I wear them, and for under $5 a piece, you just can’t beat the quality. So whether you like pastels or neon colors or both, these liners are bomb.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara
Ah yes, one of the mascaras we’ve been having a hard time keeping stocked at Ulta. It’s so good! I usually don’t put on more than one layer of mascara, but this one looks so good with two coats that I make an exception. It can get spidery if you layer it too much, but other than that, I love it. It’s a super dark formula that lasts all day without flaking or smudging!
NYX The Marsh Mellow Primer
This is another product that almost always sells out at Ulta, and now I see why! It smells heavenly without being overbearing, and it supposedly has a bunch of different benefits to it. All I know is it makes my face feel so smooth and prepped for the day and I love it. This, along with my skincare routine, have my face looking and feeling great. Try it if you can get one!
elf Bite Size Face Duo in White Peach
These are also $3 and so damn good. The blush and highlighter are both super pigmented and they have really good lasting power, too. I’ve heard these are dupes for the CoverFX blush and highlight duos, and you just can’t beat that price, am I right?
Card Deck: The Sacred Creators Oracle Deck
This is one of my newer decks, and I’m already obsessed with it. The artwork is so beautiful, and I love the messaging, fonts, just everything about this deck. The guidebook is great too because it has self-care messages and questions to ask yourself for every card.
Movie: Promising Young Woman
I’ve wanted to see Promising Young Woman forever, and I’m so glad it finally came out on Redbox so I could watch it. I thought I knew what it was about, but there was so much more to it than that and that ending?! Wow. Such a powerful and great movie.
Playlist: Front Porch
I discovered this playlist when looking for something to listen to during a bonfire, and it’s just perfection. It’s chill and low key but not boring, if that makes sense. I just love it!
Podcast: True Crime Obsessed
I think I’ve mentioned this podcast before, and I still really love it. I signed up for their Patreon so I’ve been listening to their exclusive episodes for that, but their regular feed on Spotify or whatever are also so good! In case you haven’t heard of it before, this podcast reviews true crime documentaries/series with a respectful and comedic viewpoint. Just go listen to one of their episodes; you won’t regret it!
TV Show: Superstore
I know I’ve talked about this show before too, but it just ended so I have to talk about it again, obvi. The series finale was last week, and it was perfection. This was one of my favorite shows on TV because it was so relatable and funny, and I’m so sad it’s over. It wasn’t as good after one of the main characters left, but then it redeemed itself at the end. I’ll probably start rewatching it soon because it’s just that lovely.
