As I look for inspiration for just my daily life in general or for future blog posts, I love to peruse YouTube and watch a variety of makeup artists and/or fanatics talk about the latest products and looks. I thought it might be fun to talk about a few of the channels I watch almost every day because the videos are informative, entertaining and just plain fun to watch. So here are my top 10, in alphabetical order! What channels do you subscribe to on YouTube, and who are some of your favorite people to watch?
I love watching Dani’s videos because she’s always so upbeat and positive, and you can really tell she’s having fun and she knows what she’s talking about. She has lots of tutorials, reviews, “get ready with me” videos, Q&As and much more. I just feel like I learn a lot from her, and I always feel like I’m in a better mood after watching her videos.
One of the reasons I really love watching Emily’s videos is because she’s so real, honest and funny when doing videos. Also, she does a lot of videos about drugstore products and the best products under $3, $5, $10, etc. She has a second channel called Beauty Broadcast Express where she posts a new review Monday through Friday. She’s very knowledgeable, and she does really in depth reviews and tutorials, which is great for trying to learn.
Gah, Kandee is just my favorite. She’s the most optimistic person I know, and you can just feel her love and happiness through the computer screen. She isn’t afraid to go for crazy, fun looks, and you can tell she just has a lot of fun making and filming videos. She gets all the inside scoops from the biggest brands like Urban Decay (which is my FAVORITE) so she always knows about the best products before they’re actually released.
I love watching Krystal’s videos because she’s just very calm and real. She does a good mix of tutorials and reviews, and she really goes in depth to let you know if a product works well or if it’s a flop without messing around. I really trust her opinion, and I always look forward to her videos.
Oh girl, Melissa is sure crazy and I love it! She’s a loud and proud mama from the South, and her videos are always full of energy and craziness. Watching her favorites videos and other reviews are just so fun, and she just doesn’t hold back, which is a hoot to watch.
I love Ingrid’s videos because she does a great variety of beauty, skincare and lifestyle videos. You can tell she knows what she’s talking about, and she has really nice background music and camera angles. Her videos are just plain fun to watch, and they’re also educational.
Patricia’s videos are just a delight to watch. She’s British, so of course it’s fun to listen to her in all the videos. Some of the products or stores she talks about are one we don’t have here in the U.S., but it’s still fun to learn and discover new things. She also goes beyond beauty and makeup to discuss lifestyle and personal videos, and those are so fun to watch as well.
Kassie is also really fun to watch in videos because she always has a wide variety of products to talk about, and her tutorials are always so beautiful. She’s just very real and helpful, and I’ll pull up her videos from time to time when I’m out shopping, too, so I remember what products to take a closer look at.
I only recently discovered Tati’s channel, but I’m already addicted to it. She posts great tips on Tuesday, deals on Mondays, lots of tutorials and just fun videos in general. She has some really short videos, which are great if you have only a few minutes and want to learn something, and she has some longer, in depth videos as well. She’s always smiling and happy, and I’ve really come to trust her opinions.
Shae is by far my favorite YouTuber because she is not afraid to go for crazy looks (with both hair and makeup), and she’s just plain fun. Whenever I see she has a new video up, I can’t wait to see what she’ll be doing. She usually releases a new video every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but sometimes more frequently depending on what’s going on. Watching her tutorials is just the best because she doesn’t shy away from doing something fun and crazy; she just goes for it!
