I never used to do much to my face at night except use a makeup removing wipe, but once I started learning more about makeup and beauty, and watching more videos on YouTube, I learned just how important having a skincare routine is. Once I’m done with everything, I just feel more refreshed in general and ready to relax before going to bed, so I decided it might be fun to share what I have developed into my routine. What’s your routine like?
Equate Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
I start off my nighttime routine by soaking a cotton round (I use CVS brand) with this eye makeup remover and gently swiping it over my eyes. I just love the feeling of taking off makeup, especially mascara, after a long day at work.
Neutrogena One Step Gentle Cleanser
I put one pump of this cleanser in my hands, rub them together and then massage it onto my face in circular motions. This helps break the makeup up that’s been on my face all day, and it just feels really nice. Then I just rinse it off with warm water using my hands.
Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
Once the makeup is mostly off my skin, I take one pump of this cleanser, work it into my hands to get a lather going and massage it onto my face in circular motions. This stuff is AMAZING. It has charcoal in it, which really helps to dig dip into your pores and get out all the impurities. Anyway, then I grab a yellow face sponge (I use the ones from Eco Tools), run it under warm water and then massage it around my face, making sure to remove all of the cleanser as I go. I have to rinse out the sponge a few times during this process, and then my face feels so smooth and clean. I just LOVE this cleanser. My pores have never looked better (or smaller)!
Olay Oil-Minimizing Toner
Once I pat my face off with a dry hand towel, I grab a cotton round and run this toner all over my face. It removes any traces of makeup that may have been stubborn, and it leaves my face feeling refreshed.
Olay Age Defying Eye Cream
Then I grab this eye cream and lightly dab it under both of my eyes. My undereye area gets really dry, especially in winter, so this really helps.
Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil
I’m just trying to use up this deluxe sample size of macacuja oil, so after my eye cream I put a few drops of this on the back of my hand and then slowly work it onto my face with my fingers.
Olay Age Defying Classic Night Cream
Once the oil has mostly absorbed into my skin, I grab this night cream, which is basically just a thick moisturizer, and make sure to rub it in well all over my face and neck. It has a very nice, pleasant scent to it, and I really feel my face getting and staying hydrated.
St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub
About once a week or so, after I wash my face, I take a dab of this scrub and, well, scrub it all over my face and then use a yellow face sponge and warm water to remove it. It makes my skin feel very soft and refreshed, but I don’t use it too often because I don’t want to irritate my skin.
