Hello, beauties!
So I’m not sure if you guys are aware, but today is Monday. And man oh man does it feel like it.
It’s no secret that SNL has been hit or miss lately/for years (and mostly miss). A few weeks ago I was watching it with my sister, and there was one skit/commercial that made me laugh harder than I have in a long time. It’s called Say What You Want to Say, and it features some of my current favorite SNL cast members.
Basically, it shows women stepping up and saying no or sharing how they really feel in situations they normally wouldn’t, like saying they won’t be going to a coworker’s party, admitting they don’t care about current issues, etc. Once they say how they really feel, they dance in slow motion, and it is AWESOME. Yes, some comments are rude, but I just really love the overall message. And the dancing. Gotta love the dancing.
After being inspired by this video, I thought it might be fun to write a post sharing how I really feel about various things. So here we go (and just imagine me standing up and dancing in slow motion after each one)!
— I don’t get the hype around The Walking Dead. I watched the first five episodes, and the storyline was just so, so slow and nothing ever really happened. I just don’t get it.
— I also don’t get the hype about Adam Levine. He’s not that attractive. #sorrynotsorry. And sure, his voice is nice, but it’s not anything to write home about.
— On the other hand, Michael Buble is a God in the music world. That is all. See my selfie with him above.
— Just because I love music from the 90s and Disney movies doesn’t mean I’m not mature. I know how to adult…sometimes.
— Being an adult sucks. There, I said it. There are bills, loans, car payments, dentist and doctor appointments, waking up early every single week day, not being able to wear pj’s and sweatpants to work if you want…it’s hard, ya’ll.
— Blogging is a lot of hard work, and sometimes I’d rather watch Pretty Little Liars than take pictures, edit them, write a post and put it all together.
— Yes, I still watch Pretty Little Liars. And I don’t care if you judge me for it.
— I still think it’s messed up that when you’re looking for jobs people won’t hire you because they want you to have more experience…but you can’t get more experience without getting hired somewhere. I understand both sides, but still.
— People can tell when you’re being really fakey. You’re not fooling anyone. #justsayin
— I won’t apologize for wanting to lounge around in my pajamas all day and not wear makeup on the weekends, even when I run errands. Yes, I may have a blemish on my face or a shiny forehead. The world moves on.
— See photo above. Repeat.
— It saddens me when people say they feel ugly without makeup on. You are beautiful all the time! It took me a long time to realize that, and it’s very empowering and freeing when you get to that place.
— Sometimes I’m nervous to hit publish on a post because I don’t know how people will react (or if they’ll even read it in the first place). But then I remember that I started a blog for myself, and that’s all that matters.
— I’m not religious, and I’m fine with that. I have nothing against people who follow any particular religion; I’m just not one of those people.
— I know and love the fact that I have a crazy family. Above is my mom, my sister and I at Barnes and Noble this past weekend. It sums up my relationship with my sister well.
