Hello, lovely ladies and gents!
Welcome to Self-Love Saturday, a weekly linkup where I feature some amazing bloggers. So let’s get to it!
I’ve gotten a few requests to answer these questions myself, so…here we go!
In case you’re new to this space, I blog about self-love, beauty, lifestyle and other random things. I started blogging about two and a half years ago, which seems crazy to me. I’ve taken some breaks in there, but I keep comin’ back. I love reading about and spreading positivity, self-love, sarcasm, laughter and more. Life’s too short not to, right? Anyway, some of my personal favorite posts are Pushing My Boundaries, Confessions of a Body Shamer and Learning to Live Like Gramps. Go follow me and let’s connect on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest!
What’s your favorite thing to blog about?
I love blogging about self-love, beauty, makeup, self-confidence, random things going on in my life and more.
What does self-love mean to you?
To me, self-love means accepting who you are, right now. We need to understand and appreciate who we are to get the most out of life.
When you’re feeling down, how do you cheer yourself up?
I listen to playlists on Spotify a lot. I love music from the 90s and early 2000s in particular, so I like to pump up the jams and possibly dance around for a while if possible. Otherwise I like to read or just relax on the couch with my boyfriend and dog. Sometimes I don’t want to do anything but just sit alone for a while, and then I’m able to start thinking more clearly and figure out where to go from here.
Who’s been one of your biggest inspirations, and why?
It’s hard to pick just one inspiration because I’m constantly inspired by family members, friends, fellow bloggers, YouTubers, etc. I love and admire strong, kind, independent and funny women.
What’s something you’d tell your past self if you could?
It will be okay. A boy not liking you is not the end of the world. Stay true to your nerdy, bookwormy self. Never stop reading. Don’t be afraid of standing out.
What’s your go-to girl power song that always pumps you up?
There are so many! I made a playlist called Self-Love, and it includes some of my favorite lady jams.
What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t?
Write a book and/or start a YouTube channel.
