I feel like I just did my last favorites post, but I’ve already discovered some new favorites, so I can’t wait to dive in!
Too Faced Nikkie Tutorials Power of Makeup Palette
I have been dying for this to come out for months now, so when Ulta finally got it in stores, I knew I had to have it. The eyeshadows are creamy and pigmented, the blushes are smooth and blendable, the glitter is fabulous and I just love everything about this. I feel like you can achieve a wide variety of looks, and it just always looks great. The lookbook guide that comes with this has been a great inspiration to me as well. I tried the look featuring Mystic Hour, and I got a lot of compliments on it. Both of the blushes are gorgeous, but blending them together is just everything. Wham Bam has become my new favorite pop of color, and Painkiller and Makeup & Chill are perfect for even neutral looks. I know this palette got mixed reviews from people, but I’ve been in love with it since I picked it up.
Too Faced Sketch Marker: Black
I’ve talked about my love of black liquid liners before, and I was really pleasantly surprised by this one. I’m not sure why, but I expected to not like this liner that came in the collab mentioned above. It’s super black with a fine tip, and it’s very easy to work with. It sticks around all day until you take it off with makeup remover. I’ve been using it almost every day for a few weeks now, and I’ve really been enjoying it. This isn’t the easiest to do winged eyeliner with, but I don’t do wings very often so that doesn’t bother me.
Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette
Apparently I’m having a moment with Too Faced right now! I got this palette a few months ago from my sweet boyfriend, and I still love it (and him!). The shades Peanut Butter and Nuts About U are just perfect warm shades for fall, and all the colors are just so gorgeous and pigmented. If you haven’t picked this up yet, I really recommend it!
Urban Decay Blush: Rapture
I got this as part of a beauty steal during the 21 Days of Beauty on Sept. 17, and I am so glad I did. I think this is just the best fall blush: it’s pinky/mauvey/perfect with a hint of shimmer but it’s still very wearable and neutral. I’ve been wearing it almost every day since I bought it, and I’ll probably wear it a lot in the coming months. So pretty!
L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara: Carbon Black and CoverGirl Clump Crusher Water Resistant Mascara
I’ve used both of these mascaras in the past and liked them, but wearing them together is seriously just perfection. Sometimes the L’Oreal one can get a little clumpy for my liking, so layering the CoverGirl one on top gives my lashes the definition I want without getting clumpy or heavy. I did get the water resistant formula, but I don’t think it’s necessary. The regular version lasts all day without flaking as well.
Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask
I know, I just mentioned this, but I can’t stop using it so I had to mention it again. It smells so amazingly good, and it makes my face feel so moisturized and smooth. Seriously, so buy this right now. Your skin will thank you, especially in winter.
e.l.f. Pore Refining Brush Mask Tool
I bought this on a whim when I was browsing the Ulta website a few weeks ago, and I’m so glad I did. The blue side is meant for applying face masks (or creams, etc.) without getting your fingers or the product dirty. The white site is meant for the pore area for more definition when applying. This brush is everything. I think it was only a few dollars, and it applies masks really evenly like a dream.
Drybar Mai Thai Spritzer Sea Salt Spray
I’ve mentioned my love of sea salt sprays before, and this has become my new obsession. I got this as a free sample or a perk or something at Sephora a few months ago and then forgot I had it. Hello, fall cleaning! After showering at night, I apply some anti-frizz cream throughout my hair and then spritz this around a few times before scrunching my hair. When I wake up in the morning, my hair looks tousled but not super messy (#winning).
Shiseido Ultimune Eye Power Infusing Eye Concentrate
I got this as a free sample at work, and it’s so great. It makes my undereye area feel really moisturized and plump. I looked up how much this is, and it’s definitely a pretty penny, probably because it really does work so well, but I can’t justify buying the full size right now. Some day! But seriously, it made the skin around my eyes look and feel really good.
Mineral Fusion Volumizing Conditioner
I also got this for free from my other job (#workperks). I grabbed it on a whim (there I go again), and I’m shocked at how much I love it! It makes my hair feel soft, voluminous and still manageable. What?! Who knew there was such a thing? If you want your hair to have extra volume without feeling weighed down, definitely give this one a try. Love it!

Bath & Body Works Three-Wick Candle: ‘Tis the Season
I know, I know. It’s October. And I don’t care. I got this candle during one of B&BW’s big sales last year, and I’m just obsessed with it. It smells like cinnamon and Christmas all wrapped up into one, and I burn it at least three or four times a week now. If you like cinnamon-scented things that aren’t too overpowering, this is the perfect candle for you.
Cereus Bright
Have I mentioned how much I love Spotify? No, seriously. I’ve discovered so many awesome songs and artists thanks to the Discover Weekly playlist. Last week “Nothing Yet” by Cereus Bright was on that playlist, and as soon as I heard it, I knew I loved the band. I’ve been listening to their music basically non-stop ever since, and I still just can’t get enough. Their sound is so unique and fun, and they have a good mix of upbeat and slower songs. If you haven’t heard of them before, check them out now!
My new car!
That’s right! For those of you who don’t know, I was in a car accident about six weeks ago that wasn’t my fault but my car got totaled. After dealing with multiple insurance agents from multiple insurance companies, I finally got a check to get a down payment for a new car. I loved my 2004 Chevy Impala, so I was psyched when I saw a dealership here got a 2009 Impala that was basically a little fancier version of my old car. You guys, I’m obsessed with this car. I won’t bore you with the details, but it’s a great, fun and reliable car (again, #winning). I also got a free trial to SiriusXM because of this, so that has also become a new obsession of mine. So many options!
