Hello everyone, and welcome to my Weekly Wishes #10 with The Nectar Collective! Let’s take a look at my wishes from last week to see if I accomplished them (or not) and then think about my wishes for this coming week. Weekly Wishes is a weekly linkup where you share things you want to get done within the next week and then report on your progress and make more wishes each week and the cycle keeps repeating itself.
Here are my weekly wishes from last week:
— Continue to cut back on pop. Success! I only had pop twice in the last week, and that’s a big step down from multiple cans or bottles a day.
— Disconnect more. I would say this was a success over the last week as well! I really made a conscious effort to not grab my phone or be on my laptop at home so much, and then I found I didn’t really miss being on those devices 24/7 like I usually am. I might have missed a few notifications on Facebook, but it was nothing urgent or anything. It was nice to just put the electronics down and read or talk or eat in peace without a glaring screen staring back at me. I’ll continue to work on this!
Here are my weekly wishes for this week:
— Deep clean my apartment. I just started reading Adulting: How to Become a Grown-up in 488 Easy(ish) Steps by Kelly Williams Brown, and besides it being absolutely hilarious, it’s also super helpful. One of the first chapters is all about finding a good place to live and how to keep it looking nice, and it really inspired me to really go to town on my apartment and clean like crazy (how many cliches can I use in one post? The limit does not exist). So now I just have to actually do it!
— Act like more of an adult in general. As much as I want to deny it by watching Disney movies and singing along to musicals, I am technically an adult. Which means I should probably start acting like it at least a little bit. And let’s be real, we could all be at least a little more responsible. So with the above mentioned book as inspiration, I will try to be more well-rounded and responsible so I don’t just go home from work, watch Netflix and go to bed (because that definitely describes at least one of my nights during the week, pretty much). Blah, adulthood: annoying but necessary (at least in small quantities).
What are your wishes for the coming week?
